Leading Housing Groups Produce Home Expo 2008 for Consumers on May 10 at Convention Center
(SAN DIEGO, Calif. – April 4, 2008) On Saturday, May 10, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Building Industry Association of San Diego (BIA) and the San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR) will host Home Expo 2008, “Navigating Through Today’s Housing Market,” at the San Diego Convention Center. San Diego Association of REALTORS® Member Phil Landis Wins National Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award for Helping Veterans
SAN DIEGO (February 5, 2008) - SDAR member Phil Landis is one of five individuals chosen by the National Association of REALTORS® to receive REALTOR® Magazine’s 2007 Good Neighbor Award. Schwarzenegger Administration Officials Visit San Diego County to Highlight Raising of Federal Home Loan Caps
SAN DIEGO (February 1, 2008) - At a press conference held at the San Diego Association of REALTORS®, representatives of Governor Schwarzenegger's Administration and SDAR 2008 President Lori Staehling called for the easing of lending requirements on federally backed mortgages by raising the cap on the loans issued by Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, and the Federal Housing Administration (FHA). The action would provide lower interest government-backed loans resulting in cheaper monthly payments for many Californians buying or refinancing homes. MORE

SAN DIEGO (August 21, 2007) – The San Diego Association of REALTORS® (SDAR) recently received an “Award of Distinction” from the Communicator Awards for the San Diego REALTOR® magazine. MORE
San Diego Association of REALTORS® web site receives national award
SAN DIEGO (June 8, 2007) – The web site of the San Diego Association of REALTORS®, www.sdar.com, recently received an award from the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) in the annual “Best of the Web” contest for 2007. Only six web sites received this national distinction.
The competition focused on features of REALTOR® web sites that serve as a powerful Internet tool for supporting members. SDAR was honored in the category of “Outstanding Education Feature.”
Judges said that SDAR’s web site provided “Education at your fingertips – a great tool,” and that it does a good job of telling members what courses they are buying before they buy it, answering questions about the various classes and keeping routine calls to staff at a minimum. “Education with this site is one-stop shopping,” judges said.
