Professional Experience

Jane Rheinheimer is a partner with Intelink Law Group PC, previously having been a founding member of Maxie Rheinheimer Stephens & Vrevich, APC (1996-2011) and Rheinheimer Smigliani + Drake, APC (2011-2020). Jane received her BS in French and Linguistics from Georgetown University in 1981 and her JD from the University of San Diego in 1987. She has practiced law continuously in San Diego since December of 1987 and since 1990 has focused a large percentage of her practice on residential real estate litigation, mediation and risk management. She has represented real estate brokers and agents, buyers, sellers, and escrow officers in well over 1500 litigation and pre-litigation matters. She has been a member of the California Association of Realtors® Legal Affairs Forum for over twenty years, was a member of CAR’s statewide Strategic Defense Panel during the entirety of its existence, and currently serves as a member of SDAR’s Risk Management Committee.

Experience includes nondisclosure litigation, pre-litigation mediation, contract disputes, deposit disputes, procuring cause, ADA and Affordable Housing claims, Fair Employment and Housing claims, breach of contract, landlord and tenant disputes and risk management strategies and counseling.

Having been a litigator for many decades, Jane believes strongly in the power of mediation as a way for the parties to control the process before it irrevocably leaves their hands. Litigation should be a last resort. Mediation empowers the parties to write their own script, make intelligent and informed choices for themselves, and be active in the decision-making dynamic. Committed to the process and dedicated to helping motivated parties find a solution to their legal problems, Jane brings practical experience, good judgment and relatable people skills to the table to help facilitate those goals.

Jane has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest possible AV Preeminent rating for legal knowledge and ethical standards continuously since 1997 and has been listed to California Super Lawyers since 2013.
